Nose guide is comfortable, good optical clarity, and feel lightweight on the face. Transitions to the darker tint quickly when going from light to dark. Great all-around shades for MTBing or offroad (trees -> open sky, etc.). There is some slight distortion when looking straight down (e.g., looking at your feet while walking) but it isn't in the field of view when on the bike.

I wore these sun glasses on my 8-day expedition up Mt. Kilimanjaro and they protected my eyes from the scorching sun while also keeping me looking like a baddie the whole time. I also loved how they stayed on my face really well. I would definitely recommend these to anyone! Love them.

These glasses helped save my son from losing an eye. His glasses held up and showed durability when he was involved in an ATV accident. We will definitely be purchasing another pair. Also, wonderful customer service. Quick to answer and a pleasure to work with.

This pair of glasses is amazing. I love the style and the color combo, but the best thing about them is the high contrast yellow lens. Absolutely love the clarity and the high definition look it gives to you. Looking into the water and into the deep woods is so much cleaner and brighter, plus extremely comfortable for the eyes. As a fisherman and outdoorsman these are a must have!

Best sunglasses I’ve ever owned. Second pair.

I received these to hike Mt Kilimanjaro and they are great, light weight glasses for sunny days! They would not be ideal for wind or snow protection which seems obvious when you see them. They are awesome for activities and they are my go to when playing pickleball.

Best purchase I've made all year. Very comfortable.

The Fixie Air is fantastic for trail running and high mountain running. I have worn them so far for a trail 50K and for a run on two Colorado 14ers. They fit perfectly, they don't slip, and they do not fog up--even above 14,000 feet. They are worth it--always!

Even though these sunglasses were chosen for climbing Kilimanjaro, it provided not only eye protection but ensured that I look cool on our expedition. It was extremely comfortable to wear on long days and stayed right in place.

I had the incredible opportunity to wear the Optic Nerve Kingfish polarized sunglasses, during my 8-day Lemosho trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in August 2025. These sunglasses were more than just gear; they were a vital companion at altitudes reaching 5 895 meters, where UV exposure is no joke.
Performance Highlights:
• Perfect Fit: The Kingfish model hugged my face comfortably without slipping, even during long, sweaty ascents.
• UV Protection: My eyes felt completely shielded from the intense sun and high-altitude glare. The polarization was a game-changer for visibility and eye comfort.
• Durability: These shades held up impressively against extreme weather—wind, dust, and sudden temperature drops. Built for the outdoors, no doubt.
Minor Challenges:
• Lens Fogging: When I wore my buff over my nose and mouth, fog tended to collect on the lenses. I hadn’t packed anti-fog spray, which would’ve helped—lesson learned!
• Tinted Window Effect: I noticed faint stripes in the corners of my vision when looking through tinted windows. Not sure of the cause, but it didn’t affect performance on the trail.
Final Verdict:
Despite a couple of quirks, the Kingfish sunglasses delivered where it mattered most—protection, comfort, and resilience. If you're heading into high-altitude or rugged terrain, I highly recommend them. Optic Nerve nailed it with this one.

Light, comfortable, clean look.

Optic Nerve sunglasses protected us to the summit of Kilimanjaro. Love, love, love!

These Rockpile sunglasses are flippin' fun! But beyond the good looks, they delivered some serious performance.
I used them for the first two days of my Kilimanjaro trek, moving through the dense forests and then out into the open moorland. That's where the flip-up lens truly shone. Its versatility and function were perfect for quickly adjusting my view when I went from the shade of the trees to the bright sun.
Combined with a killer look, this delivered a pretty sweet pair of shades. They’re a definite win!

For the final push to the summit of Kilimanjaro, clarity of vision is everything. On my recent climb, I used the Staunton optic nerve glasses, and they were a game-changer. The extreme cold and high altitude can blur your vision and cause severe strain, but these glasses were designed to combat exactly that.
Throughout the night and into the sunrise, they provided exceptional clarity, reducing eye fatigue and allowing me to focus on every step. They were lightweight and comfortable, a small but critical detail when every ounce of energy counts. In such a demanding environment, gear that performs as promised is invaluable, and these glasses delivered.
I would highly recommend them to any serious mountaineer preparing for a high-altitude summit
